Ashanti Shequoiya Douglas popularly known by the name Ashanti was born October 13 the 13th of October, 1980 at Glen Cove New York United States. She is a US singer as well as songwriter. In the that same year, she was included on The Fat Joe's What's Luv? song and Ja Rule's Always on Time track, both of which were huge hits. She became the first female artist to have both the highest two positions on the The Billboard Hot 100 list in the United States With Foolish as number one, and then What's Love?
