Audrey Tautou
Audrey Tautou is the youngest of four children born on August 9th, 1976 in Beaumont Puy de Domme. Audrey's parents who was both dentists and a teacher, recognized and supported their daughter's enthusiasm for theater and drama at a young stage. The support they provided is more than enough for Audrey to thwart her initial goal of becoming a the first primatologist. Her rise to fame as an actor in the young age was rapid and accompanied by her early successes. The beginning of her career came at the age of 1999 after which she began acting professionally. After her studies, Tautou was a participant in the French TV show that scouts talent Jeunes Premiers. Tautou attended church and the Institut Catholique de Paris during her childhood, but she has since gotten rid of the aforementioned societal influences. As well as her acting profession she started a modelling career. Also, she is the face of L'Oreal Mont Blanc & Chanel and is often referred to as The Chanel Muse. In addition to her acting career, she has an interest in photography. Recently, she exhibited a selection of her photographs in the Arles Film Festival with the title Superficial. Through her photography, she is mainly focused on celebrities and the spotlight. Cameras are focused at journalists, who sat and watched her rise to stardom in Amelie. Audrey Tautou shot to stardom and global fame after her debut role as the lead in the film Le Fabuleux Destin de l'Amelie Poulain. Amelie received international acclai the box office and received acclaim at awards ceremonies across the globe. It's the biggest French language film ever on the US. In the following year, she was a part of British dramas including Stephen Knight's Dirty Pretty Things as well as Jean-Pierre Jeunet's Un long dimanche de fiancailles. In the following year, she moved to Hollywood where Ron Howard directed the Dan Brown bestseller The Da Vinci Code.
